Streetside Media Program: Call For Video Installation Proposals
In affiliation with the 20th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, Media Arts Center San Diego is now accepting entries for innovative storefront video installations. The new rotating streetside media program seeks to help upcoming and established video artists publicize their work. We are excited to offer our storefront as a new venue for the voice of Latinos in and around San Diego as well as bring a sense of place and awareness of new media formats to San Diego citizens.

Hi! I’m Evan Apodaca, one of the two instructors of this years Summer Youth Media and Tech Camps at the Media Arts Center San Diego. In 2009 I graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I specialized in Media Arts, Sound and Technologically-based art forms. I am passionate about encouraging my students to explore new forms of self expression through a wide array of media arts. As an arts educator I also teach regularly at The New Children’s Museum in San Diego. Looking forward to meeting you and teaching your child about new media tools! ~Evan Apodaca
